23 regular season wins….. Over or Under?

20 regular season wins….. Over or Under?

I don't know much about the women's side but the men's team just won 22 games, has almost everyone back and what looks to be an easier schedule. We had our issues down the stretch and upsets happen but I think we are looking at a 25+ win season.

Can you believe we are so close to the start of basketball season?
Glad to see we are again picked so highly in the ASUN preseason. Need the Lady Flames to get over that FGCU hump. Maybe this is the year. Nice to see the men ranked so highly nationally to start. Highest ever I believe.

Despite how talented our basketball program is I have a hard time getting excited about the level of competition we play. Our move to c-usa is a sideways move at best for football but it's a huge step up for the Olympic sports and I'm excited for it. I hope this is the year that we break through in the ncaa tourney to at least the sweet 16. It would go a long way to raising the profile of the program and school as a whole.

Can’t believe the seasons start in less than a week. I am really looking forward to it! Can’t wait to see them play in person.

Liberty gets blown out at home 69-48 by Richmond to start the season! Richmond was picked 8th in the A10 preseason. The Flames played a really bad game in all phases. It was an ugly start to the season.

To clarify, that was WBB.

MBB beat Regent tonight 104-38 and plays @Alabama on Friday.

The guys looked great tonight, very athletic. I knowbit was just Regent, but they look more athletic this season. I loved Porter’s play tonight. Maybe it’ll be a special season. We’ll find out a lot more against Alabama. Anywho….. nice effort boys!

That Alabama game! Oof!!

The season starts with NC Central.

Well it was a nice ebound win vs. NC Central. McGhee got 27 to include a sick 4 point play where he banked in an off balance left handed three.

Lady Flames took down Hampton tonight by 31. Lots of playing time for subs. Coach Green looks so different sporting a beard this season.

Not really sure what to say about the S. Miss game. I feel like we should have won it, but they are 4-0 now. We showed immense grit in coming back from 26 down to take a lead in the second half. Wish we’d sustained that grit the final 8 minutes of the game. Kudos to S. Miss. We’ve got a lot of improving and figuring out to do, but I think we’ll get there by February.

Our men and women have come out of the chute stumbling.

Four game win streak against some pretty weak competition does not give me a good feeling heading into the ORU game. They are decent. This will be angood chance to see if we have developed as the season has gone on. Had hoped we’d be sitting better than 6-3 so far. Eapecially sonce the ASUN is looking stronger this season.

Well, that was a stinker against ORU. I thought we’d lose but didn’t expect to be blown out in the second half. We couldn’t defend.

We haven’t fared well against any teams with a pulse this year. I’m not sure we won’t be a middle of the pack ASUN team this year.

Turnovers have been a major Achilles heel for us this year. Really doesn't help that McGhee led in that stat by a mile last night.

Not sure I see this men’s team going 14-2 in the ASUN this season.

I would say 25 wins is still in play. It's an 18 game conference schedule this year so I think a 14-4 record with a couple wins in the conference tournament is attainable. Assuming we win the rest of our nonconference games. The advanced stats like this year's team better than last year's.
